Champions lnsights: Understanding Risk, Advancing ALS Research
Studying high-risk populations to better understand the underlying causes of ALS

Friday, May 15, 2026 | 3:00 - 4:00pm ET

Join us for a Town Hall exploring how studying populations with a higher incidence of ALS—such as athletes, veterans, and first responders—may unlock new insights into the disease and help accelerate the path to more effective treatments.

Led by the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), Answer ALS, and Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS, this conversation will focus on Champions Insights, a research effort designed to better understand why ALS appears more frequently in certain groups—and what that can teach us about the biology of the disease.

What to Expect

  • An overview of the Champions Insights initiative and its goals
  • A closer look at the data and science driving this research
  • Personal insights from athletes, veterans, first responders, and researchers connected to ALS
