The ALS Ambassador program is a voluntary program created to unite and empower likeminded members of the ALS community wishing to serve as
advocates in their region for research at ALS TDI, its programs, and fundraising activities.

Ambassadors in each region gather together for regular conference calls with their Regional Directors to develop and review a Regional Development
plan focused on:
- Reaching out to and educating ALS patients in their
area about the ALS Forum, ALS Research 101 and other patient information
resources at ALS TDI about clinical trials and therapeutic research.
- Helping new ALS TDI Families to develop fundraising
events by sharing their own experiences.
- Attending support groups and other gatherings and
events as official representatives of ALS TDI to answer questions and
distribute information.
- Total time commitment will vary, but on average will
amount to about 4 hours a month between conference calls and attending
events.
Ambassadors are provided with identification materials including:
- A special email address: john.smith@alsambassador.net
- ALS TDI letterhead with a regional ambassador list.
- Access to an Ambassador only website where they can download the most recent research, clinical trial and event information.
- Invitation to Ambassador only events in their region and at the ALS TDI Laboratory in Cambridge.
