Please join me in a very important and meaningful cause. I am kindly asking your support for the 1st Annual Worthington Fore ALS Golf Classic at beautiful Worthington CC. This tournament is my way of raising the much-needed funds for the research to find a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. All proceeds will go directly to ALS Therapy Development Institute, one of the world’s leaders in ALS research. I am a member of Worthington Country Club, and I have ALS. I was diagnosed in May 2012. Though my life expectancy with ALS is only 2 – 5 years I try to live each day to its fullest. I intend to participatein this event using my adaptive golf cart from SoloRider. It is now my mission to raise awareness and to raise money for research to find a cure for this horrific disease. My story can be viewed at www.ConquerALS.com. Six thousand new cases of ALS are diagnosed each year; there are 30,000 victims in a race for our lives who need your help now. Your assistance in this golfing event will help fund some very promising research providing hope for all of us in the ALS community. Our Tournament committee is hard at work planning a very exciting and rewarding day for this year’s event, and our host, Don Tracy, is working hard to insure that the course will be in great shape.
