The “Stroll, Roll, ‘n’Run” is an incredible fundraising event featuring a fun stroll in the park, a 5K certified race for those who seriously run, an interesting wheelchair race, and a race for children which entertains and involves onlookers and guests alike. People come, participate, work, donate and/orbecome a cheering crowd at the finish line. This event would not be possible without the support of volunteers from local churches and citizens from the community. The event will begin at 12:30pm. All sign ups and fees are collected at the event. If running the 5K, please arrive at 12 noon to register!
The first annual “Stroll-Roll ‘n’ Run” event was held on March 7, 2010 in Riverside Park, Victoria, Texas. The event was organized to raise awareness and research funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) a motor neuron disease often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease. All of the proceeds from the event were presented to the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), a non-profit biotech whose sole mission is to find a treatment or therapy for ALS. **All fees will be collected duringevent-day registration** |
