EVENT PURPOSE
This historic endeavor showcases one of the key tenets of ClubCorp's success - our heritage of service and giving back. ClubCorp’s founder, Robert H. Dedman, often quoted Sir Winston Churchill, who said, “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.” The Charity Classic is a unique opportunity for all of us both individually and collectively to make a difference in people's lives.
The money raised this year will go directly to 3 deserving charities:
1). The Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital-CNI Directors Fund- which provides clinical research to improve the lives of children with neurological disease and disorders. PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED ON BEHALF OF GARY ROSSMAN, FORMER MEMBER AND FRIEND TO GAINEY, CURRENTLY BATTLING ALS.
2). AUGIE’S QUEST & ALS TDI- an aggressive, cure driven effort, singularly focused on finding treatments and cures for ALS
3). EMPLOYEE PARTNER CARE FOUNDATION (E.P.C.F.)- which provides assistance to ClubCorp employees and immediate family in times of crisis. Recently, Gainey Ranch Employee Partner Terry Phillips, who has been diagnosed with Leukemia, has benefited as the recipient of direct support from this foundation.
