Regular season baseball conference game against Cary High School will be a fundraising event to support the fight to strike out ALS. We hope to donate $10,000 to ALS TDI. ALS TDI's mission statement is to 'Secure funding, develop potential treatments, and end ALS.' The inspiration for this event came back in October of 2012 when my uncle was diagnosed with ALS, and when me and my family discovered there was no cure for it. Desperate to do everything we can for Adam, my uncle, we also looked at the bigger picture, and how this affects millions of other families too. In an attempt to raise money for a cure and end this life-taking disease, I teamed up with Athens Drive Baseball to put on a fundraiser. The event is set to take place in April, at Athens Drive during a regular season baseball game against Cary High School, but you can get involved and donate any time before that! |
