On June 11, 2016 will be the first ALS 12 Hour Trail Relay and Solo Race. I hope this event is successful and will be an annual event. ALS took my father in 2012 and since then I have been doing all I can to help find a cure. What I can do is raise awareness and raise as much money as possible.

The money I raise goes to a nonprofit bio research facility called ALS TDI. They are located in Cambridge, MA and their only goal is to find a cure for this terrible disease.

The race will be a 3.3 mile loop on the North Hampton Park Trails. North Hampton Park is located in Brockport and the Race Start and Finish is across from the Ski Lodge on Hubbell Rd. The exact address for GPS is 55 Hubbell Rd., Brockport, NY 14420. The trails are located on the east side of Hubbell Rd. and there is plenty of parking, restrooms and an enclosed shelter (ski lodge).

The trail has some single track, roots, rocks, holes and a few fallen trees to jump over. There is also a creek to cross and depending on the recent weather, could be dry or very wet. The trail loop will enter and exit the woods into a grassy area where the Start/Finish is located. The Start/Finish is the only place that the relay runner's can exchange to their teammates. The Solo runners will also exit the trail on every loop and will pass through the start/finish area so the Race Officials can keep track of loops completed by all the runners. All participating runners can have their own aid station, but it must be located at the Start/Finish area.

There will be an official Aid Station equipped with food and beverage and if medical attention is needed EMS will be on site.

In order to achieve our goal we ask for a minimum donation of: $200 PER ROWING MACHINE (per machine, not per person) If you are rowing as an Individual, you are responsible for raising/donating the $200 alone. If you are rowing as a Team, the team must raise/donate $200 (e.g a team of 5, each team member should raise just $40).

*Participants/Teams must have registered for the event prior to the day and then sign-in before the start time to be assigned a rowing machine.
