“…We’re pretty excited about the opportunity to raise money for ALS TDI by highlighting the beers made because of their campaign….” Says Rock Out ALS Founder and President Michael Miller, known around the Seattle Music Community as Mad Mike “…We’ve been typically known for putting on Live Music Events for ALS Awareness, and there WILL be some music involved, but drinking a beer FOR ALS is a lot more fun than drinking them BECAUSE of the disase…”

The ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI - www.als.net) and its scientists actively discover and develop treatments for ALS. ALS TDI is the world's first and largest nonprofit biotech focused 100 percent on ALS research. Led by people living with ALS and their families, they understand the urgent need to slow and stop this disease.

Ales for ALS is a national partnership between the Union Chief/Loftus Ranch and breweries to raise awareness of ALS and crucial funding into discovering and developing effective treatments and cures. Since its formation in 2012, Ales for ALS brewers have sold tens of thousands of pints as part of the campaign and brought awareness to ALS into tap rooms in nearly 40 US states raising over $600,000.00. Some of America's top brew masters receive a proprietary experimental blend of hops each year from Loftus Ranches to be used in the Ales for ALS brew. This proprietary blend, distributed by Hop Union, is only available to brewers in the program. Each brewer develops their own recipe and creates some of the most unique brews available in the craft beer industry between the months of June and August. More than 150 brewers have taken part in the campaign to date nationwide.

Triplehorn Brewing Company is at 19510 144th Ave. NE, Suite E6 in Woodinville WA. This is the 3rd Year Triplehorn has brewed for Ales for ALS raising over $40,000.00 for ALS Research through this program alone. In addition to the Ales for ALS program, Triplehorn has held Deadliest Catch TV Viewings, Sponsored the Calling All Angels Golf Tournament, raised money for the Rock Out ALS Walk Team for the Walk to Defeat ALS, and is a continuous supporter of Rock Out ALS and it’s events.

Cognitive Thought, Emotions and the Senses are left intact. Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS. Every 90 minutes someone dies from ALS. There is an average of 30,000 people living with ALS at any given time in the US. The average life expectancy is 2-5 years. 10% of patients might live up to 10 years. 90% of cases are “Sporadic” with 10% of cases being hereditary. There is no Cure. ALS is not incurable though, it is simply underfunded.
