Rock Out ALS has announced it’s Lineup and Details for Rock Out ALS Fest 2016 which will be held July 30th from 11:30am to 10pm behind Vessel Wines and Ales at 19405 144th Ave. NE, Woodinville WA. The live music lineup features the top unsigned local rock bands in the Seattle area as well as one national act: Windowpane, Mechanism, Future Leaders of the World, Lucid Spiral (who will be reuniting after a 5 year hiatus and whose lead singer Brandy Foltz is on the Rock Out ALS Board of Directors), The Adarna, Baby & The Nobodies and LocoMotion. Radio Personalities from KISW 99.9 will be on stage as well doing introductions. The Festival will begin with the viewing of the Jason Becker documentary “Not Dead Yet” at Noon. Music will begin at 1:30. Jason Becker was a rock guitar prodigy, signed to a major label at the age of 17 in 1985 and was poised to become the biggest Rock Guitar God ever before he was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 19 while recording for David Lee Roth. Jason is one of the rarest cases of ALS and is still alive today, though fully paralyzed by the disease. This is an All Ages Event with a 21+ Beer and Wine Garden provided by Vessel Wines and Ales. In addition to the Live Music and Documentary, there will be videos and speakers in between sets, Auctions and Raffles, and 2 food trucks. Admission is a $20.00 suggested donation at the door and tickets can be won on KISW’s Loud n Local program Sunday Nights at 11:30pm a few weeks before the show. Money Raised by Rock Out ALS FEST will be split between the ALSA and ALS TDI. KISW will be doing interviews with Rock Out ALS founder Michael “mad mike” Miller and ALS Patient/Rock Out ALS co-secretary Stephanie White Atkins that will be broadcast on all 4 Seattle Entercom Communications Stations as well as a Loud n Local show interviewing the bands performing at the Festival. Rock Out ALS (ROALS) is a Washington State Non Profit waiting for it’s Federal 501c3 approval. It’s mission is to unite the Music Industry behind awareness of ALS and Funding for Research while supporting the ALS Association (ALSA) and ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI).
