The Community Foundation is the only funding source that reaches all community service organizations on the Outer Banks, in the arts, education, health and human services, historic preservation, and the enviroment. They manage a collection of undesignated assets, charitable funds, and scholarship funds, created by different donors at different times for various purposes.

Join us for The Hamlet's 6th Annual Charity Classic.  This years event will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2016.

As many of you know, our Charity Classic benefits 3 charities, one of which we get to choose every year.  Our local charity this year will be the

Cold Spring Harbor Research Laboratories a private, non-profit institution with research programs focusing on cancer, neuroscience, plant genetics, genomics and quantitative biology.  It is one of 68 institutions supported by the Cancer Centers Program of the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI) and has been an NCI-designated Cancer Center since 1987. The Laboratory is one of a handful of institutions that played a central role in the development of molecular genetics and molecular biology

The other charities that will benefit from our event will be:

Augie’s Quest
Augie’s Quest is an aggressive, cure-driven effort focused on
finding treatments and cures for A.L.S. (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
E.P.C.F.  (The Employee Partner Care Fund)
It’s purpose is to provide assistance to Employee Partners of ClubCorp and their immediate families during times of need.

Our large Charity Classic Event (Vegas Night & Golf Tournament) has been postponed until Friday, April 28, 2017.

This year we are excited to donate to the United Way of Davie County, Augie’s Quest (ALS) and the Employee Partner Care Foundation (E.P.C.F.). The United Way of Davie County gives to a number of local charities that go through a rigorous application process to receive funding. By giving to the United Way of Davie County you also support the following local non-profit charities: Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Buckle-Up Davie, The Dragonfly House, Salvation Army, Davie Family YMCA, Just Hope, Inc., Davie Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center, Farmington Community Center, Davie County Group Home, Davie County 4-H, Boy Scouts of America/Old North State Council, Cancer Services, Inc. and United Way Direct Programs including Build a Backpack and Emergency Food & Shelter Program.

 Bermuda Run Country Club will donate all revenue from normal daily club operations collected from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. to the 3 charities for this years Charity Classic. 

We will offer the following:
$50 Guest Green Fee (includes cart fee)
$20 Cart Fee
$15 Lunch (includes one (1) entree, one (1) side & one (1) non-alcoholic beverage)
$4 Beers

**If you have already signed up for the large Charity Classic event, you will not be charged and any check received is available for pick up or shredded.**
