Originally from Orlando, FL, Kevin Swan was diagnosed with ALS on February 15, 2012. Soon after his diagnosis, Kevin founded the A Life Story Foundation and serves as its CEO. He currently lives in Bradenton, FL, and cherishes his time with his girlfriend Elizabeth and her two children. Kevin loves sports and the Chicago Cubs, great movies, and he'd eat out every night of the week if he lived in New York or Chicago!
A Life Story Foundation operates a widely successful online campaign called “Rewrite the end of ALS” which features videos of people like Kevin battling this disease. In addition, the Foundation organizes many successful events each year including a casino night in Bradenton and celebrity chef dinner in New York City, among others.
Kevin and his foundation’s work have been covered in numerous media outlets and he has published original works on the Huffington Post about his own journey with ALS to date.
