Part2: ALS TDI Completes Gene Expression Profile of Lou Gehrig’s Disease in Mice
10/2/2007
“This dataset is the foundation that will enable scientists at ALS TDI to understand the biological mechanisms associated with disease progression,” said Steve Perrin, Ph.D., chief scientific officer of ALS TDI. The second phase, profiling of human samples, is scheduled for completion by February of 2008.

Part 1: ALS TDI Completes Gene Expression Profile of Lou Gehrig’s Disease in Mice
10/1/2007
ALS TDI has achieved a significant milestone in its ambitious science plan to understand ALS at the protein and gene level by the successful generation of the world’s largest transcriptome profiling database for the ALS mouse. The database contains complex information that details the development of the disease in the mouse at the cellular level. The data offers researchers insights into the disease process never before possible.

2006 ALS/MND Yokohama Meeting Report
1/16/2007
The Motor Neurone Disease Association’s 17th Annual International Symposium on ALS/MND was held last month (Dec. ’06) in Yokohama, Japan and is the major conference in the world on topics of research, treatment and care in ALS. This year, two of our research staff – Sean Scott and Jerry De Zutter – made significant contributions through presentations, in addition to our usual efforts with a team of researchers to understand the current developments and trends in ALS research.
