Live #AskTVDr Twitter Party
Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM (PT) Costa Mesa, CA
http://asktvdrals.eventbrite.comFollow a former police officer who is living with the challenges of ALS and ask questions during a live taping of Second Opinion with Dr. Peter Salgo. You can participate in the taping of the show and go behind the scenes as Dr. Salgo leads a panel of experts through discussions of real-life medical cases.
ALS, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. It is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease or the disease that Stephen Hawking suffers from.
Each week on Second Opinion, Dr. Peter Salgo engages a panel of medical professionals and patients in honest, in-depth discussions about life-changing medical decisions. Using intriguing, real-life medical cases, the specialists grapple with diagnosis and treatment options to give viewers the most up-to-date, accurate medical information.
This will be a live Twitter event so bring your computer or smart device and your Twitter handle. We will have light snacks and rereshments while watching the taping at the WXXI studio from the comfort of our PBS SoCaL studio here in Costa Mesa, CA and asking questions live to Dr. Salgo and the panel of experts using Twitter.
