Breweries Participate in Ales for ALS Program

Proceeds from beer sales and events from Ales for ALS program will benefit ALS research at the ALS Therapy Development Institute.

Over 100 breweries from 36 states across the United States, and one brewery in Japan, are participating in Ales for ALS™ this summer, a charitable program that raises money for the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) in Cambridge, MA. Ales for ALS breweries raise money through sales of their unique, limited-edition Ales for ALS beers made from a blend of experimental hops donated by B.T. Loftus Ranches and YCH Hops and through proceeds generated from events and festivals. Since 2013, Ales for ALS breweries have contributed over $1,250,000 for ALS research taking place at ALS TDI.

Each year, the hop blend is made by an elite group of brewers and hop growers who create interesting blends that are not available anywhere else on the market. Then, each brewery is given free rein to brew what they want with the hops. Between the new hop blends each year and the creativity of brewers from around the world, no two brews are ever exactly the same.
