Pedro Martinez to pitch at the 24th Annual Abbot Financial Management Oldtime Baseball Game

Pedro Martinez will come out of retirement on Thursday, August 17 to pitch in the 24th Annual Abbot Financial Management Oldtime Baseball Game at St. Peter’s Field on Sherman Street in North Cambridge. The game will be played as a dual fundraiser for the John Martin Fund and the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI).

Martinez will wear a throwback No. 45 Red Sox uniform at this year’s game; additionally, two autographed No. 45 Red Sox throwback uniform tops will be sold via silent auction on game night, with all proceeds going to the John Martin Fund and ALS TDI. Limited edition Old Time Baseball T-Shirts will also be available for purchase at the game to benefit ALS TDI and ALS research.

The game is free to watch and all are welcome! Fans are asked to bring a beach blanket or chair and to camp out along the foul lines. Pre-game ceremonies begin at 7 p.m.
