At ALS TDI, potential treatments begin with a new lead and undergo several layers of rigorous evaluation before reaching the testing phase. Only about one in ten new leads reaches the testing phase. Leads are washed out because of quality, testability, pharmacology, and speed to patients, insuring that only the best leads reach testing.
