Each year, ClubCorp Inc. encourages its Clubs across the nation to help those in need by hosting an annual Charity Classic Event to raise funds for three worthwhile organizations. Last year, the Charity Classic events raised over $2 million dollars nationally. It goes without saying that we could not accomplish these staggering numbers without the generosity of our Members and Community Partners.
As you may or may not be aware, the third charity is chosen from those nominated by our own Members, selected by our Charity Classic Committee and approved by the Board of Governors. After deliberate consideration, a decision was reached! Charity Classic 2017 is benefitting ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALSTDI), ClubCorp’s Employee Partners Care Foundation (EPCF), and National Alliance on Mental Illness Orange County (NAMI), a local charity, whereby the mission is to “Advocate for a life of quality and dignity, one without discrimination, for all persons whose lives are affected by mental illness.” They believe that advocacy starts at home.
