La Cima Club will host its 8th Annual Charity Classic on Friday, August 22, 2014. The evening will include Texas themed food and beverage stations, live music featuring Derek Anthony and the D-Train Band, and silent & live auctions benefiting Augie’s Quest, ClubCorp’s Employee Partners Care Foundation and Irving Cares. Last year, La Cima Club raised over $48,000 with its Charity Classic event; and since the Classic began in 2007, ClubCorp, La Cima’s parent company, has donated more than $17 million to community organizations and programs. We are asking for your support in making this year’s event a success with a corporate sponsorship or by making a donation to the silent and/or live auctions. All donations are tax deductible.
This year, La Cima chose Irving Cares as its community philanthropic partner because of its mission to directly impact the lives of Irving residents in need. More than 44,000 lives were touched by generous food, rent, utilities, employment opportunities, rides to healthcare appointments and the compassionate hope that a hand up provides to a neighbor in need. More than 12,500 people just needed food. Irving Cares has been a safety net in our city since 1957, and they were founded by Irving volunteers who proclaimed, “Cooperation is the Answer!” This is still true today.
