The 40th annual Society forNeuroscience (SFN) meeting takes place this November in San Diego, CA., During this important meetings, ALS TDI staffwill present finding on a variety of topics ranging from biomarkers to outcomesof therapeutic screening. SFN is theworld’s largest forum for neuroscientists to debut research and network withcolleagues from across the globe (website: http://www.sfn.org/am2010/).

Then, in earlyDecember, the ALS TDI team will head to Orlando, FL, for both the 18thannual meeting of the Internal Alliance of ALS/MND Organizations and the 21stannual International Symposium on ALS/MND.At these important meetings, researchers from your lab at ALS TDI willpresent data and partake in scientific discussion with other ALS researchersand clinician from all over the world (website: http://www.alsmndalliance.org/meetings.html).

The following is a list of the presentationsbeing made by your team at ALS TDI meetings:

Continuousnon-invasive infrared motion sensing as a measure of neurological diseaseprogression in the SOD1-G93A transgenic mouse model of ALS (Harveen Dhillon, Ph.D., both meetings)

A high throughputimage analysis strategy for analysis of in situ hybridization transcriptpatterns in the SOD1_G93A mouse model of ALS (John Lincecum, Ph.D., both meetings)

Pharmacodynamicbiomarkers of immunomodulatory therapies in the mouse models of ALS (Steve Perrin, Ph.D., both meetings)

No benefit fromchronic dimebolin dosing in a sibling-matched, gender balanced, investigator-blinded trial using a standard mouse model of familial ALS (Fernando G. Vieira, M.D., both meetings)

Understandingthe role of macrophage and Schwann cells in peripheral nerves of the SOD1 mousemodel of ALS(Monica Wang, Orlando Meeting Only)
