At the link below, I believe you will find a clip of the channel 2 film mentioned in the original post showing the patient that regained speech and the ability to walk. The clip appears to be in Hebrew.

Thanks for the link ( copy&paste ), but MND can 'stop' on rare occasions (naturally) and the remaining tissue can 'pick up the slack ' IIRC, so one lucky patient is great news but not enough to crack out the champagne.....IMHO.

Romain,
good work finding that.

Cheers... made my day

What are those blue remembered hills, what sphires what farms are those.
That is the land of lost content,I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went and cannot come again

Great news. Is it time to invest? It's amazing that it's trading at only 30 cents a share on OTC BB.

Does anyone else find it odd that Brainstorm-cell is on the ALS untangled to do list, and Neuralstem is not?

ALS tdi writes on its site: “Forum members include people living with ALS today as well as their caregivers, family members, friends, neurologists as well as neurodegenerative disease researchers and pharmaceutical executives.”

At least for the period of time I've been reading, no neurologist has ever posted, and definitely no stem cell researcher. The latter would be really great to hear from.

Why are embryonic stem cells (or aborted fetal spinal cord cells) superior to differentiated autologous bone marrow derived stem cells? Why is direct transplantation into the spinal cord superior to intrathecal administration or even guided radiographic adminstration? How do other diseased lesions of the spinal cord regenerate from only multiple local injections into specific diseased lesions of the spinal cord (and does this even happen)? And what about these fat derived stem cells adminstered under radiographic guidance? Why is Precision Stem Cell not on the ALS untangled to do list?

While it is a potentially exciting time for ALS research, the approach to stem cell derivation and administration seems to be extremely varied.

Causes they are not qualified to comment on half the things they investigate. Another useless tool , like ALS worldwide, that should be disbanded, avoided, and ignored.

That's why they're doing clinical trials, Arthur. One patient isn't a trend, but it sure isn't a bad sign.

One thing I liked is that the Prez of the company said that although the Phase I trial will be for safety it will also be for efficacy.

This will no doubt shorten the time to FDA approval from 9 years to 8.5 years.

About investing in Brainstorm

I think that, if the phase III efficacy trial is successful, Brainstorm shares could easily go from about 30 cents today to 10 dollars a share or more. This means that a $1000.00 investment today could easily bring as much as $30,000.00 (30 thousand dollars) profit in about a year. Not bad at all. But then again, it could turn into a big disappointment if one of the trial participants dies during the trial as a result of the therapy. It's a risky investment but it could easily pay for future treatments if it works.

Funny.

Not funny:

Excuse me, but who among us has "other hope"?  Why aren't we being given access to compassionate treatment?

Excuse me further, but is this the real reason he got the treatment, while the rest of us can't beg, borrow or steal our way in?

Honestly, all the best to him, but it stinks that the rest of us have to wait 8.5 years. We know what that means.
