First of all, we hope you, your families and friends are staying safe during this challenging time.
These times are unprecedented and we want to thank you for your continued support.
We want you to know that we are thinking of you and continuing to push science forward as our team adjusts to the growing restrictions that the spread of COVID-19 is imposing around the world. Even during this critical time, the mission of the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) is to find effective treatments for everyone with ALS. It is the support of our community that makes our vital ALS research possible.
In this spirit, we are not letting these circumstances stop us, even as we adopt the necessary precautions to safeguard the health and safety of our staff and community. These precautions have even further unified our team—with a few researchers going into the lab continuing to execute essential projects including a high content screen, several studies in animal models, and the ongoing optimization of several lead candidates. The remaining scientists working from home are writing papers, applying for research grants, and studying the literature.
Our operations team, while at home, is also still hard at work to raise the funds that make our ALS research possible. I want to assure you that, regardless of the circumstances, we will not stop working for you.
