Help Us Celebrate One Year of ARC!
March marks the one-year anniversary of the launch of the ALS Research Collaborative (ARC). Thanks to our study participants, over its first year, this groundbreaking initiative has collected an incredible amount of data to help us learn more about ALS:
43
Countries and 21 states have contributed data
2,534
ALSFRS-R entries have been submitted
1,887
Voice recordings have been scored
499
Accelerometer sessions have been recorded
230
Blood draws have been performed
Meet the ARC Research Team:

Help Fulfill Their Wish List!
To express our thanks to the ARC team, we asked our team members what items they are most in need of over the next few months.
These are the wish list items that they identified as their top priorities. Will you donate to help us fulfill their wish list?
Alan and Joe’s Wish List Item: New Accelerometers
Total Cost: $8,000 (16 devices)
"We use accelerometers to monitor movement data in individuals with ALS, providing invaluable insights into disease progression. Each month, we distribute sets of accelerometers to ARC participants, enabling them to record and share their movement data with us. We need 16 new devices in the next three months."
Your support can enable Alan and Joe to acquire these additional accelerometers so that more ARC participants can contribute this valuable data.
Please note, all donations will be used to advance the ARC program.
Erin and Beth’s Wish List Item: Blood Sample Kits
Total Cost: $6,000 (4 months worth of kits)
"Discovery of a blood biomarker for ALS is a critical goal
of the ARC study. To achieve this, we analyze blood samples from many ARC
participants using innovative in-home collection methods. Phlebotomists use
specialized kits for safe storage and transportation, including cooling boxes
 and phlebotomy supplies."
Your donation will fund 4 months' worth of these kits to support vital research being done by scientist like Erin and Beth.
Please note, all donations will be used to advance the ARC program.
Josh’s Wish List Item: Pipettes & Related Supplies

Thank you to our Amazing ARC Study Participants!
The ARC study is fueled by the hundreds of people with ALS who share their data to advance ALS research. We are so grateful for your contributions!

If you are a person with ALS or an asymptomatic gene carrier, you can join the ARC study and participate entirely from home. Learn more at www.als.net/arc/.
