“I may not be there yet but I’m closer than I was yesterday.” Anonymous
The mindset captured in the quote above is one we have all experienced, as this wonderful journey of life is just that, a journey…with much joy, and much suffering. One thing I’ve come to realize is that where there is disease and suffering, there is always a group of passionate people committed to ending the disease and soothing the suffering.
I believe the human spirit is constantly available to us all, and it makes its presence known when the waves of tragedy, disease, and suffering wash upon one’s shore on this journey of life. This is especially true as I witness the courageous battle of my brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Sinnott, and his wife, my sister, Trish, as Bob is living with ALS. The human spirit is strong in Bob and Trish and all the family and friends supporting them. You can click on the link above to hear Bob’s courageous and inspiring speech at an ALS event.
Along with family and friends, the people at the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) are part of Bob’s support network as well. Their passion, persistence and spirit are appreciated by my family, and many more. We thank you all.
We’ve recently launched the iagbo challenge. The acronym iagbo stands for “it’s all gonna be okay.” Click here to understand this wonderful challenge where we can all support one another with inspiring messages.
To support ALS TDI and their vision to END ALS, I have co-branded our iagbo shirts and will continue to donate 20% of all purchases to ALS TDI, and continue to pray for the team there, and not hope, but rather TRUST that their vision to END ALS will soon become a remarkable reality.
So I trust, that together, we can continue to share inspiring messages as well as generate donations for the wonderful team at ALS TDI and their vision to END ALS.
