On October 18, 2025, ALS TDI and Hop On A Cure are partnering to ensure a shared spirit of community and collaboration in the fight against ALS is felt at both the White Coat Affair and Harmony for Hope galas.

If you are a member of the ALS community passionate about supporting research, mark your calendar for October 18th, 2025. That night, you’ll have two incredible options to spend your evening in support of one great cause—ending ALS.

In Boston, MA, the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) will host their annual White Coat Affair gala, an evening of cocktails, dinner, and dancing to celebrate the progress of ALS research and honor those with the disease. Meanwhile, in Atlanta, GA, the Hop On A Cure Foundation will present the Harmony for Hope Gala, an evening of music and fun featuring an intimate singer-songwriter concert with top music industry talent. No matter which gala you attend, you will be helping to raise crucial funds to support ALS research.

ALS TDI and Hop On A Cure are two intimately related organizations with one shared goal—making sure everyone with ALS has access to effective treatments and cures. ALS TDI is a nonprofit biotech company founded by the family of Stephen Heywood, who was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 29. More than 25 years later, the organization is now the world’s most comprehensive drug discovery institute dedicated solely to ending ALS and an international leader in ALS research.

Hop On A Cure was founded by John Driskell Hopkins—founding member of GRAMMY® Award-winning group Zac Brown Band—and his family following his diagnosis of ALS in 2021. The mission of the foundation is to support research to prevent, reverse, and cure ALS while raising awareness, building a compassionate community, and unleashing the healing power of hope.

The annual White Coat Affair and Harmony for Hope galas are vital fundraising and community-building events for both ALS TDI and Hop On A Cure. Building on a strong history of collaboration, exemplified by John Driskell Hopkins' performance at last year's WCA and ALS TDI's research presentations at Harmony for Hope, both organizations are committed to ensuring a unified spirit in 2025.

While this year's galas unexpectedly fall on the same date, ALS TDI and Hop On A Cure are actively working together to ensure that attendees at either event will experience the powerful sense of community and partnership that drives our shared mission to end ALS.

As the events approach, stay tuned for more details about how the two events will be connected. In the meantime, choose the event that works for you knowing that your contribution is truly valued, and a genuinely enjoyable evening awaits!

Either way—we’ll see you on October 18th!
