Foggy Hills Coffee Co is a small, family-run coffee roasting company from Berkeley, California priding itself in
selecting only the highest quality, specialty grade coffee sourced from environmentally friendly farms. Foggy Hills
has a strong passion for making great coffee and supporting great organizations like the ALS Therapy Development Institute
(ALS TDI). ALS TDI is the world's first and largest nonprofit biotech dedicated solely to finding a cure for ALS.
During the summer of 2007, the co-owner/roaster Ryan's best friend Corey Reich was diagnosed with ALS. Corey was just
entering his senior year at Middlebury College when he received this devastating diagnosis. That summer before returning
to Middlebury for his senior year, a last-minute Las Vegas trip was taken, and an unsober hotel room pact was made.
The pact: to always be there for Corey and to do whatever possible to help find a cure. Corey and his family have
inspired Foggy Hills Coffee Co with their tremendous strength and courage, and an unwavering positive outlook despite
the circumstances and 11 years later, the pact has not been forgotten.
Foggy Hills wants to do everything possible to find a cure for this curable but extremely underfunded disease. In 2018,
they created the Roasting for Research program to help fund ALS TDI's continued research until a cure is found. The
first roast was named the Corey's ALS Blend.
Foggy Hills Coffee Co will donate 100% of proceeds from this roast to ALS TDI.
