Signature Programs are set up or hosted by ALS TDI. Community Events are organized and hosted by individual people, usually as part of a fundraising activity.

Driving for Life

Driving for Life is one of the longest running fundraising campaigns to support ALS research through the game of golf. Thanks to the support of the golf community, Driving for Life has raised more than $9 million for the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), but we need your help to end ALS.

ALS Walk for Research

Join us on Sunday, September 8, 2024, for the Walk for Research! Enjoy a four-mile stroll or roll through Newton, MA. The walk proceeds benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) and their mission to End ALS.

Leadership Weekend

Each year, the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI) hosts Leadership Weekend in an effort to unite with, engage, and thank the global ALS community that makes our research possible. The Leadership Weekend consists of a series of community events including an Open House event at ALS TDI’s lab, the ALS TDI Research Summit full-day conference, and the White Coat Affair gala. Through these events, community members are invited to get to know the ALS TDI team, see the research lab, learn about current ALS research at ALS TDI, and honor all those who have been impacted by this disease.

Ales for ALS

Beer enthusiasts from around the world are coming together to end ALS through Ales for ALS™ - a fundraising program where breweries create delicious beers and donate proceeds to ALS research. Find an Ales for ALS event near you!

Tri-State Trek

Since its beginning in 2003, the Trek has raised over $10 million for ALS research at the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), and participation has grown to over 450 riders, crew members, and volunteers each year. Join us at this year's Tri-State Trek, on our beautiful new route through Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.

United NYC Half

The ALS Therapy Development Institute is proud to announce our Official Charity Partnership with the United Airlines NYC Half 2024. Team ALS TDI features runners from all over the globe with one universal mission, finding a cure for ALS. On Sunday, March 17, 2024, our runners will complete the 13.1-mile run through the streets of NYC to raise awareness for ALS TDI.

Kids and teams from across the country will come together to Rake For ALS! Throughout the fall, communities will rake leaves for donations in support of ALS Research.

The ALS Town Hall is a virtual discussion led by experts in the fields of research, patient advocacy, care, awareness building, and fundraising. Hosted by the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), each event begins with brief presentations from guest speakers and then invites the community to ask questions and engage in live discussion.
